Who are the GBNews equivalents of James O'Brien, Shelagh Fogarty and Eddie Mair, please?

They brought in Brillo and the Gurning manfrog. Both were supposed to be big draws for ratings. Neither achieved anything like that of O'Brien, Fogarty or Mair. Or what someone like Andrew Marr will bring in. Hence my comment.

Why do I feel he will be banging about the woke agenda within a fortnight.

Marr has been painted (admittedly mostly by swivel-eyed Trots with a chip on both shoulders) as a hopelessly biased Tory. He isn’t, of course - he was very much hard-left in his salad days, IIRC - he’s just a lousy interviewer. It will be good to see what his “own voice” turns out to be at LBC.

Meanwhile, there is the question of Marr’s successor - La Kuenssberg, anyone ? That should allow the swivel—eyed Trots plenty of scope to keep their “biased Tory” conspiracy theories going. Further meanwhile, I’m fancying Jon Sopel to succeed Kuenssberg as Beeb Political Editor.

BBC Breakfast did an interview with Nadine Dorries which turned out to be nothing more than a PR piece for the Culture Secretary.

There are some highlights here complete with a bit at the end where Katie Razzal blows smoke up Nadine's arse.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-59305080

Do the BBC really think this kind of fawning nonsense will ensure that Nadine will give them an easy ride.

It won't be Kuenssberg, the Tories want her gone. I wonder if Dorries has asked Nick Ferrari if he fancies it? Then again Farage needs a job since LBC sacked him.

Someone's had a long week.

Global hires Names, such as Alexander Armstrong on Classic FM, who people tune in to listen to. GBeebies hires Names, such as Nigel Farage on prime time, who nobody tunes in to watch.

So, a bit like GBeebies, only successful.

I'd have thought they'd have wanted the Beeb to retain their biggest cheerleader?

All an act. He voted for Thatcher, according to his best mate.

Johnson's running scared and falling back on the old favourite of the Right - blame the BBC.
But I'm not convinced it's going to work this time:
1. every news outlet, except the Telegraph and the Express are treating Tory criminality as a top story. It was actually Tory ITN who broke the story.
2. every BBC bulletin I've seen has covered the failing Tory vaccine rollout.

Even if you believe this you don’t say it publicly as you look like a whiny twat. Hope its true as sucking up to the Tories hasn’t worked out for them.

All the highest rated comments on that story are saying much the same thing - you've been caught out, don't blame the messenger, just resign.

Could this be the time that the poor little rich kid Bullingdon boy finally learns that actions have consequences?

Or will all critics of Johnson be dismissed as "whiny twats"?

If I've broken forum rules I'm sure admin will advise me, until then I shall continue to post whatever I see fit, including defending the BBC against the ongoing assault from the Tories. You of course are free to defend Johnson if you wish, however I reserve the right to disagree with you.
