She's not the first incompetent to attempt that defence.
It is defined as a man's unearned confidence attempting to overrule a woman's competence, but unless someone been giving her chat about how to effectively talk absolute fucking pish, I can't see how it applies

Nadine Dorries plans to target Ofcom over 'bias towards the BBC' as officials raise concerns that 10 out of 14 of regulator's content board members used to work at the broadcaster

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... s-BBC.html
It sounds reasonable. Ofcom is top-heavy with ex BBC employees, so could be biased in favour of the BBC. But... This is Nadine Dorries we're on about. A thick, stupid, racist woman who has subscribed to the culture war, and is well known for her antipathy towards the BBC. Alarm bells should be ringing.

Over the past two years, only one complaint about the Corporation was investigated by Ofcom, out of 418 referred to it by the BBC
Probably because many of these complaints are about stuff like the Diversity dance group, too many gays in EastEnders, too many blacks, disabled < insert minority group of choice here>, and as such weren't worth taking seriously. Except by people like thick, stupid, racist culture warrior Nadine Dorries.

Hold the front page. Lying liar tells lies

Mid-Bedfordshire Conservative MP, Nadine Dorries, has been called “delusional” after claims people she had spoken to had “nothing but support” for the Prime Minister over lockdown ‘parties’ held at No.10.

Ms Dorries made the claims in an interview with Sky News yesterday (14 January) evening but voters in her constituency have been quick to highlight they’ve tried contacting their MP with very different views.

https://www.bedfordindependent.co.uk/mi ... rt-for-pm/
She says we're showing nothing but support for the PM. How does she know? She never speaks to any of us.

We contacted Ms Dorries’ office for her reaction to comments on her social media channels but they did not respond by the time of publication.
Exactly the same response as her constituents get. On any subject.

Was she ever off her 'phone during today's PMQs? She was jabbing away at Twitter every time the camera was on her.

Of all the MPs in the current House of Commons, I haven't seen anyone else come close to Nad as being the walking, talking epitome of the "Karen" stereotype.

She's just awful. Promoted beyond her abilities, convinced that any criticism is spite and jealousy, entitled beyond reason, utterly vapid, thinks rules don't apply to her, fancies herself as a wordsmith.

She and Johnson are made for each other.

Would this be the same Union Jack that Sir Kier contrives to have "in shot" every time he appears on the tellybox? Or is there another Union Jack that isn't welcome in the Labour Party?

She donarf talk some shite

As James O'Brien observed earlier today, woman who once ate an ostrich anus on live TV accuses others of being attention seeking

Thanks to the peak time TV antics, Nad is more widely loathed than her colleagues. Unfair as they deserve the same level of contempt.

The same Mad Nad who when AWOL from her day job and picked up £80K for such "attention seeking", and still manages to vote against hungry school children receiving free school means, and cutting benefits to people
