One would hope so. But it's all rather dependent on having a government (and its voter base) that gives a shit.

Or enough disenchanted voters or mobilised non-voters to switch votes. The government and their base don't need to give a shit if the opposition can be FPTP.

It's going to be a long time until the next GE, though. Even if it isn't, it's going to feel like it.
