Surely it can't be as simple as 'not one of them queers', can it?

If someone thought "family man" was good code for "straight", they might be interested to hear about a bloke called Reg Dwight.

'Family man' does smack of responsible law abiding breadwinner who puts the wife and kids first. Using the phrase to describe a halfwit who terrorises asylum seekers and pick fights with the police in riots is a stretch.

Perhaps it’s the Irish in him that persuades Tommeh to keep pursuing this martyrdom strategy. It does play among his moronic followers who are too thick to understand what he has done wrong. A low category prisoner serving white boy time that tops up his lucrative fighting funds when he comes out. Although 18 months is probably more than he bargained for but deserves for being a serial piss taker of the courts.

I can't hear the phrase "family man" without thinking of this chap, but I bet he's not the type Reform have in mind at all.

That'll be Aston 'Family Man" Barrett, bass guitar player and an integral part of the Wailers sound. Definitely not the Reform type.

One of the most influential bass players of the last 50 years and yet I only discovered this afternoon, whilst looking for his picture to post here, that he died earlier this year.

For the last year or so we've had a copy of "The Light" shoved through our door every couple of months. I don't know if it's ever been mentioned on here before but this is a hard right anti vax, anti pretty much anti everything paper which I find deeply disturbing. Yesterday for once, I was in the house when it dropped so I dashed outside and handed the paper back to the bloke who'd posted it. Cue a torrent of abuse from this deeply unpleasant man who's closing line was "fuck off, you've had the vaccine so you'll be dead soon anyway" in response to me telling him he knew nothing about me or my views and all I wanted to do was to give his paper back to him. This happened right outside my own front door. He was exactly like I imagine these people to be like. My missus was mortified, saying that he'd be back to smash our windows and I'm still absolutely fuming.
