She is the worst of both worlds - the clueless incompetence and rampant arrogance of Truss, the charmlessness and vastly overinflated boasting of IDS. The absolute chasm where a sense of humour should be from both.

She is a perfect encapsulation of the current incarnation of the Conservative Party. The absolute antithesis of having reached a position on merit, abundant with delusions of grandeur, bereft of talent, and as bitter and nasty as eating a generous spoonful of earwax.

She would make a good supervisor in a call centre. Utterly humourless, convinced of her own brilliance, dull as dishwater.

That's just about perfect. Thanks, Crabby.

I think you mean she would be an absolutely perfect example of the sort of person who *thinks* they’re a good manager in a call centre, but in reality everyone who works for them loathes them.

Yes - she would fit in very well. Not necessarily be a good person to have doing such a job. Good as in "fulfils cynically and depressingly low expectations".

Why do I look at that photo and think of Grange Hill?

She's got the wit, intelligence and sense of humour of Liz Truss, the warmth, empathy and charisma of Ian Duncan Smith, and the moral compass of Alex Johnson. Why wouldn't she be perfect for them?

Yes, she probably is too nice. By Tory standards.

That's a good podcast. From my era, Ant Jones (Ricky Simmonds), Julia Glover (Sarah McGlasson) and Laura Reagan (Fiona Lee-Fraser) are all good.

Kemi engages with the real world outside the media bubble by getting a peerage for Toby Young. And Nigel Biggar.

Is she running to lead a government or to edit the Spectator?

This isn't all that encouraging for Kemi. She is though getting some swing voters back from Labour, but that could change if the economy improves and the new money for services gets noticed.

Blimey. Did you catch Badenoch doing the 8:10 interview with Amol Rajan on Today this morning?

Talk about belligerent. I thought she was going to call Rajan outside to the car park at several points.

So it's a prop gag. For fantasy politics and fake news, Kemi the trade minister out-Brexited Farage.

These truths are no doubt going to be what Kemi thinks anyway, and what her base want to hear.

"Previous governments" including her.
