Their "General Strike" (called for Bank Holiday Saturday) is already forgotten.
Gatherings as large as ten people met in some town centres.
Or was it a queue for the bus - we may never know.

I have a couple of questions:
1. How do pensioners "go on strike", what are they striking
from?
2. What were they striking
for? I have no idea what their demands were and none of them seemed to know.
I've seen a few vox pops and all I heard was; "Starmer must go"; "he's destroying this country"; "everything he's done has been a disaster"; "he's a traitor". None of them, when pressed, could name single policy they didn't like, replies were simply "everything" or "open your eyes".
There was, inevitably, one joker who claimed Starmer had banned freedom of speech by taking away the right to protest...whilst attending a protest.
