The Sun really did become a parody of itself this morning when in a comment piece it said, refering to HS2, it was time to scrap this woke railway line.

Having worked until recently in the rail industry for 27 years, I have yet to come across a railway line that is woke, either that or I am missing something?

One can only assume the author of that "SUN SEZ!" headline had received a severe blow to the head prior.

"Sword Lad".

Really?

I guess it'll be something to do with margins and character count in titles? But still...fucking hell. There must have being something a bit less insulting and disrespectful, surely.

The Sun have, grudgingly, come out for Labour with a weak as anything headline and no direct endorsement. But you can bet your arse they’ll be all over “we won it” come Friday.

Delighted the Murdoch print press finally seem to be becoming an irrelevance to who is PM in this country.

I don’t think I could do this sort of work without hating myself. I’d feel like an errand boy.

They also withdrew and rewrote that front page after massive backlash from everyone (IIRC to "Sad Bruno in Mental Home").

The Sun's hacks have been ordered to go after the Greens. I think Sian will live to fight another day

This is Keir Hardie's cloth cap, except in 2025 not 1892.

Sian Berry is in the Commons because she got elected, not because she's "lucky". Kate's partner Richard Holden got elected too, albeit by 20 votes, after a chicken run and a being the only name on the shortlist- perhaps that was lucky,

What next from Kate? Is she going to call Sian "Miss Smellypants"?

But it's a shame to hear sartorial standards have slipped so far from the standards set by Kate's fave, Boris Johnson.

I've just been watching an excellent Prime TV documentary about Kenny Dalglish. After the Hillsborough disaster Kelvin McKenzie wrang Kenny to ask him what the paper could do to make things right? Kenny replied 'You need to print a front page that says we lied.' Kelvin replied 'I can't do that.'. Kenny then said 'I can't help you then'. That is why Kenny will always be one of my all time heroes.

He'll always be King Kenny.
