He returned to seek revenge on all those that broke Britain. Cut to scene of Nigel fencing with a mirror.

his £1.5m fee for participating in I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! in late 2023.
The question you must ask yourself though is "how much ad revenue would he have generated for ITV?"

Incidentally, the Strines are sacking the show off, or "resting" it as they now call it.
Farage is good box office - with apologies to James O'Brien, that's not opinion, that's counting.
I once saw a graph of Question Time viewing figures for the 2010s, usually pretty flat but with huge spikes every time Farage was on.
It'll be the same for the other political shows. The assumption that Farage's appearance on TV proves the political bias of the broadcaster, programme or presenter overlooks the fact that TV success is measured in viewing figures.
It's grim that there's no progressive politician who attracts as much attention, but that's where we are.

In the Kinnock era, Labour leaned on the broadcast media to complain about the ubiquity of Derek Hatton, Livingstone and Scargill. As you say, they were box office not because BBC or ITV were run by Trots in the late 80s.

Yep, people who are likely to say controversial stuff and ensure the debate gets "lively" makes better* TV than people debating points of policy in a moderate and sensible manner.

*"better" as in more popular.

Oh really and why would the Kremlin do that, was it their money to begin with? Farage seems reluctant to place some flesh on his outlandish theory.
Nigel Farage alleges that Russian state-linked hackers accessed his phone, email, and bank accounts to obtain details of a £5m gift from Thai-based crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne. He says only four people knew of the donation, which he claims was used for private security, and forensic analysis pointed to 'sophisticated' spear phishing by hostile state actors. The Guardian first reported the gift, and Defence Secretary John Healey has asked Farage to clarify whether any of the funds might be connected to Russian state-linked energy transactions. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/insight/ ... snapshot-1

Bear in mind that the front-page story in the Mail was penned by the same 'journalist' who gave us the story of the sabotage to Nargle's Volvo that turned out to be complete bullshit...

Nothing reeks more of a planted story than that. In fairness to the Graun, they are going six-guns on the story, too.

Who he had reported the alleged hack to?
Was any evidence was handed to British authorities?
How had the examination of his handset suggested that Russia was responsible?
It is understood the National Cyber Security Centre is not aware of a report from Farage related to the alleged hack.
There is also a whiff of rope-a-dope here; keep nibbling away until BBC News has to put a shoulder behind the story, much as I am sure they would rather not, and much as I am sure that that is just my wilful thinking...while he hoovers up his untold riches.

You'd have thought Nigel's £5m security operation would have prevented this dastardly Russian hack.

"A claim without any merit", according to a former head of the NCSC.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... re-5m-gift
Martin said: “An aspiring prime minister has essentially claimed that Russia has launched an unprecedentedly aggressive intervention – a malicious intervention – in British politics, and he’s not produced a shred of evidence to support that claim.

“He’s made a serious foreign policy and national security allegation which if true would have massive implications for British policy towards Russia.

“It is a very, very serious thing to allege. It would be a national security issue. If it is true, the government should be in emergency session in COBR right now considering their response to the most serious Russian intervention in internal British affairs for years.”

Yup, he appears to have completely overplayed that media-moisturised hand of his.

These issues are being highlighted as matters of national security and BBC News will be ill-advised to hold their line. It's time to dial down on this cunt.
