This is the correct link, one com too many in the first one

the common law 'need to know' principle
I'm pretty sure that "need to know" is designed to protect confidentiality, rather than be an order to ignore it by handing over everything.

But then I am sure the "world class" legal whizz kids at Reform are all over that.

I hope we'll demonstrate that we're a cut above the yanks, and some put-upon local govt employee will twat one of these pencil necked bedwetters.

I note that their extensive data haul will include details of whistle blowers.

That comment reminded me of the sign at the local tip, about not abusing the staff who work there. I always think who in their right mind is going to get lippy with those lads

All based on Reform perpetuating the myth that all council workers are lazy and corrupt. It makes me sick.

It's all performative. Irrespective of what happens, they'll act like they've saved the day and their moronic seal supporters will lap it up becuase it makes them feel nice.

They are all parodies of themselves, absolutely and utterly compromised by their own conceit. Just wish they had no impact on the rest of us.

(Also: DOGE has demonstrably been a total fucking farce in the USA. Seals aside, who thinks this is a) sensible, b) warranted and c) the right branding?!)

As many have pointed out, councils get audited. You can check the accounts and the reports.

ReFuck have cancelled scrutiny committee meetings (which are specifically tasked with identifying financial irregularities and waste) on Kent council. In other words, rather than elected local people checking the council's expenditure and performance and making their findings public, they're handing over data to persons unknown to do whatever with, as long as at the end they can supply a 'report' going "fucking diversity officers, eh?".

What does the G in DOGE stand for? Shouldn't that be DOCE or DOLGE?

Fargle's DOCE? You can get a shot for that.

Reform auditors do not have the powers to sack people. Most council employees are members of unions so any redundancies will be fought tooth and nail. Proper consultation periods will have to be adhered to.

It's a win-win for Farage. If they can find a few non-jobs to cull and a paperclip supply contract to cancel it'll show that Reform means business. If they can't make any real savings or services fall to bits that's just proof of how the Blob controls Kent.

Reform hit the ground running in Kent.

Reform UK’s Doge unit in discussions with Kent County Council bosses over £2.8m irregularities
Except this is a fraud that was uncovered 2 years ago by the previous (Tory) administration. Of all the things Reform might bring to the table, I've never thought that stamping out fraud would be high on the list.
